Project description / Scope of work

In general, the scope included the supply of all materials, performing of all construction works, including demolition works for the PPF Splitter project. SPEC-REM S.A. was responsible for supplying all labour, supervision, permanent and consumable materials, equipment, tools, testing devices, storage, prefabrication, assembly on site, transport, unloading and receiving, construction, testing and inspections, commissioning, evaluation and quality assurance of assembly and responsibility for other works related indirectly to the scope of the PPF Splitter project.

The main PPF stream (propane-propylene fraction) is produced on the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) unit. PPF Splitter enables the splitting of high-value propylene from the propane-propylene fraction (PPF) and the production of polymer-grade propylene (minimum 99.5% wt). PPF Splitter based on modernized equipment of the existing LK-1 gas plant reaches the PPF splitting capacity of about 72 kt/y. The basic design of the PPF Splitter unit was developed by GE.
